Title is the TL;DR, here's the long version.
I work at a Subway, been there since last Friday and I absolutely hate it. I was under the impression that the “Senior Sandwich Artist” role was more of a between of Sandwich Artist and Assistant Manager, an assistant assistant manager even. The posting on Indeed said nothing about any sort of Managerial role.
I take my regional transit authority's curb to curb service, and have to schedule my rides at least 24 hours in advance. I was told last night that there was a call off so they were closing the store early and cancelling my shift, I said “Alright” and the moment I was off the clock I cancelled my bus rides for today. At 11:54 I got a text saying that they found someone and would like to know if I can come in. I said I can't, I have no ride to work. Really what I wanted to say in my head was “sure I'll inconvenience any one of my three family members who are working to leave work and bring me in if I can get $5 more an hour so I can cover whatever my dad, mom, or sister loses from having to leave their jobs to bring me to my job that I wasn't even qualified for and don't get any breaks during!”
I really plan to get out of Subway whenever I can, I already hate this place and my ass does NOT want to put up with the sandwich shop that treats everyone like they're soulless robots for profit.
