I’m supposed to be on every weekend each week. I have requested off a total of 6 weekends off to study for college exams that week. Boss only wants to approve 3. Idk what to do I already work as much as I can, if I picked up a day I normally don’t work that would eat into my study time. And these are hard classes the extra 2 days really helps
He’s also said I’m being unfair and inconsiderate leaving us shorthanded and cause this one girl who never has weeks now has worked 3 in a row. Which I personally don’t view as being that unfair she usually gets away with working 1 Saturday a month which everyone else but me does every other. There is also another coworker who wants to be on Sundays but the rarely put her on.
He keeps suggesting I take half the amount of PTO and work half a shift so there is some coverage but I really don’t want that; my goal is to just have 2 interrupted days to study
I did agree to be on every weekend but that was before I started school and it’s tough to balance. We’re also not short staffed management just puts too many people on slow days and not enough on the busy ones.I just need 3 more weekends off in December and I can go back to my normal but boss doesn’t want to approve .
He’s normally nice but he’s getting a little aggravated with me .
