When will America (and other countries) wake up and realize the 40 hour work week needs to go? I know I know the overlords don't care about people's happiness and us working 40 hours is all about control.
I am sick of this. I wake up at 6 am, get ready, drive to work, get to work around 8, work through lunch, attempt to leave on time only to get caught by my worker wanting to chat half the time, drive home. It's not even a 40 hour work week. It's 55 once you factor in the time to get ready, the commute, the lunch I don't even take.
I go into the office for NO reason other than to waste time and money. I'm so sick of feeling so burnt out and exhausted everyday that I can barely make dinner. Everyone says there are so many jobs out there and to just get a new job. Clearly they haven't looked at jobs lately, all the entry level jobs ask for 5 years of experience. In order to get a new job I would have to take 50% paycut. All this to barely be able to pay my bills, get 18 days off a year and have garbage health insurance???? And this is more than a lot of people so i feel awful even complaining. I don't know people have the time, energy or money for kids. It makes less and less sense the older I get.
