On August 1st I was laid off by my company. Then last week they reached out again asking me if I were interested in coming back. Given the job market I felt it was a bad idea to not take it even if I hate it. Radio silence for a week till I reached out to check for any update. Was told they can’t afford to hire anyone until “hopefully” January so why did they bother reaching out in the first place
