Inhumane boss = Labor Exploitation?

Hey there, if a boss is a total asshole to his employees would that be considered labor exploitation? He is known for screaming and berating his employees with such comments ” You are a fucking retard” and alike, makes them sign unethical contracts which allows him not to pay commissions legally. What are your guys opinion, would love more outside perspective on this…
