Turned away from yet another interview because of my temporary disability

Second time this has happened since I’ve been applying for jobs the past few weeks. I’m still recovering from an extensive knee procedure but am running low on savings so thought I’d get a temp job in between surgery’s since the recent strikes have pushed things back a bit. I’ve stated on my cover letter why I’ve got a two year gap in my CV and what I can and can’t do at the moment and these places still decided to interview me knowing this, both jobs where office jobs so wouldn’t require too much standing or heavy lifting to begin with. First interview I was turned away because using a walking stick was a “health and safety risk”. Decided not to take my stick to todays interview as it was a bit more accessible on public transport and i wouldn’t have to walk that far, however the interviewer saw me slightly limping before the interview and said he wouldn’t be able to proceed because it wouldn’t look good on the company by “hiring someone for brownie points”. Again this was an over the phone customer service job at BT based in an office that wouldn’t require standing.

Already give up with this crap
