Remote jobs aren’t any better

I basically spiraled into the nastiest depression, craziest weight gain and general bad well being while WFH since Covid. In other words, the same effect a lot of people on this forum discuss from in person jobs. The job itself was so demanding and the culture very cult like (it’s the company where the guy hangs out with an emu in the commercials) that I voluntarily committed to a mental hospital. Not everyone is an introverted type as I’m sure you all know but I am and part of what used to make the soul sucking bearable was simple interaction with other humans. Just anything. I understand the point of this sub trust me but the reality is we all fucking have to work and I’m just giving an alternative viewpoint as so many seem to be seeking remote work. On a side note, I feel remote work is a big impediment to worker organization since everything down to a live view of the screen is monitored. It is good for some. Not so good for others. Just something to keep in mind especially for your mental health.
