I (61m) had been working part time at a pot shop for almost three years making 50 cents an hour above minimum wage. Recently the minimum wage went up where I am (Ontario, Canada) so I asked for a raise. After jerking me around for two weeks I'm told by the owner's representative that I will not be getting a raise. So I told them I will finish my shift, after that I will be done. I'm a retired guy on a pension so the money and the discount were nice, but my life ain't going to change much.
I wonder if this is how the owner, a thirty something frat boy with daddy's money, hopes to build a business empire, by driving away good people to save $10 in payroll?
Anyway, fuck that guy and fuck working; I'm going to chill.
