My sister just got an email about a class action lawsuit against Shutterfly, who apparently lied in their advertising about discounts thst actually weren't discounted at all.
She then proceeds to say “I'd like to get another photo this year for Xmas, I should use them again.”
I'm like….”so a company gets sued for screwing people over and you want to turn around and use them again, huh?”
Then her husband goes, “It's their fault (people's) for being stupid and falling for it.”
I explain why things never change, because of this kind of attitude. That we are always going to get screwed unless we make a stand and boycott these companies. Then my sister goes on about how we live in a capitalistic society and we might as well “make the best of it”.
JFC. Is this just how it's going to be? We are too inconvenienced so we just stick to the dates quo, and everything just stays fucked?
