I’ve been at this company for 10 months now. I am the AP/AR clerk and CSR (so I also answer the phones). It seems like there is ALWAYS someone’s birthday or a special occasion going on. At least 2 or 3 times a month.
I never get invited to go. There’s 6 people in the office, and a few service guys (and sometimes they get to go too). At first when I noticed that they would all just get up and randomly leave for lunch, I was like well, it’s because I’m new and they all know each other and they need someone to answer the phones.
But now at 10 months in, it’s getting really old and awkward. They usually won’t say anything except “We will be back in a little bit”. They’re usually gone 2+ hours. It’s frustrating, because I like everything else about this job. But I’m starting to feel like I should say something.
