I got laid off because someone else quit.

The company has been a mess since day one. It took six interviews just to get in but it was FT, remote, and after 6 months I'd be making nearly $20.00/hr. I turned down a really good in-person city job in the next town over that was in my field for it because of the flexibility of being able to move (long story short I didn't know if I'd be able to afford to stay in the state I was living in at the time and my whole life was unstable after my fathers death). Cut to 5 months later and I get laid off because a higher up left for a better job opportunity and they merged my sales team with another. 1:00pm on a Thursday afternoon and I went from making more money than I'd ever seen at one time in my life without fear to scrambling to…

Fuck corporations. I hope their clients find out that they're losing their in-house underwriting company and they have no backup and the whole thing goes under.
