So I have a colleague, who was friendly at first (she even drove me home a few times) and she really made me feel like we could be friends outside of work. Anyways long story short, she’s a total asslick and I’ve discovered she’s a super fake and entitled person. She feels she is entitled to a promotion (even after only working there for 6 months). I started after her so I guess she will get that promotion, which doesn’t bother me if it was deserved. But the manager is her long lost cousin and also my colleague barely does her job well, she just runs around pretending to be busy. Also she’s also calling out all of our team on the group chat and talking about the extra stuff she does to make everyone else look bad. She’s a nightmare and I just needed to vent. Also I found proof she was talking shit about me behind my back to another colleague we have who is god awful and honestly one of the most rudest, unpleasant girls I’ve ever met. Anyways I’m just ignoring them but any advice on dealing with ass lickers would be amazing. Also I’m not gonna tell my manager, my colleague is so far up her ass it would be pointless to share this with management. Instead I’m looking for new jobs and considering telling HR.
