Why is my personal time not as valuable as my co-workers?

I work in a small medical office with only one physician and one DNP. I'm the only one who doesn't have children, so I'm expected to always be the one to stay late when either the doctor runs extremely behind or takes on too much in a day. I can't tell you how many times I've heard my boss say that because I don't have children, I can stay late. I am also the only one who lives in an area without opportunities for decent jobs. When my co-workers and I do leave at the same time, they are home 45 minutes to an hour before me. It infuriates me to be treated like my time doesn't matter because I'm childless.
