Manager keeps agreeing days off and scheduling me anyway.

I’m not sure if this is the right place for this post but here goes. As the title says, my manager keeps agreeing to give me days off but still schedules me, and I’ve had enough. For example: Manager: do you have any plans for your week off next month? Me: yeah I’m going to X place for the week (town 70 miles away) Manager: how lovely, I won’t schedule you for work on the day before if you want to start your holiday a day early? Me: that would be lovely, thanks so much! gets scheduled anyway Example 2: Me: my grandmother’s funeral is on X date, can I please not be scheduled on this day so that I can attend it? shows proof (I’m actually entitled to paid bereavement leave but I was being nice by offering it to be given to me unpaid) Manager: of course! I’m not sure if this is the right place for this post but here goes. As the title says, my manager keeps agreeing to give me days off but still schedules me, and I’ve had enough.

For example:

Manager: do you have any plans for your week off next month?

Me: yeah I’m going to X place for the week (town 70 miles away)

Manager: how lovely, I won’t schedule you for work on the day before if you want to start your holiday a day early?

Me: that would be lovely, thanks so much!

gets scheduled anyway

Example 2:

Me: my grandmother’s funeral is on X date, can I please not be scheduled on this day so that I can attend it?

shows proof

(I’m actually entitled to paid bereavement leave but I was being nice by offering it to be given to me unpaid)

Manager: of course! I’m so sorry. I won’t schedule you on that day. (Note: no mention of my entitlement to paid bereavement leave)

gets scheduled anyway

I’ve also spoken to my manager about numerous instances of my overtime being unpaid since my time card was changed without my permission (e.g. I clocked out at 6.41 and it was changed to 6.30) and my manager keeps saying that she will sort it and never does.

They say actions speak louder than words, so guess who’s not going into work tomorrow even though they’re scheduled?
