Tired of convoluted hiring processes

So after months of applying, getting interviews, and hearing nothing back, I finally got a job offer. They wanted to hire me there on the spot. I accepted and was excited because I have a friend that works there and the pay is great. Wasn’t the most ideal job but I’m just looking for a job that pays well at this point if possible. Well, they had apparently changed systems this year and had a new hiring process. They said it could take 3-6 weeks. My interview was 2 weeks ago. I don’t have access to a computer, but it says it’s easy to do on your phone. Good, I can do that. It’s a background check that leads into a drug screen. I thought it was weird the company didn’t do it itself but whatever. I completed the background check but was confused because it didn’t lead into anything…

I completed the background check but was confused because it didn’t lead into anything talking about drug screening. Then I started getting emails to continue my background search. I was confused but assumed it didn’t submit correctly. I went through and did it 7 times before it actually sent it through, sending me 30+ emails in the process. I had to wait a few more days and then got 10 more emails. Never saw anything about a drug screening. I waited until the next week, thinking maybe they would send something from a different company since they used a 3rd party for the background check. The HR rep got ahold of me and asked why the drug screening hadn’t been done. I explained what happened but she just sent me the same initial email. I asked how to get to the drug screening but was basically told just go to where the start button is. Well, this just starts the background check again and loops you in circles since I’d already completed it. I asked again about it yesterday and got the same answer. I figure it must be because I’m on my phone so I planned to get on a computer somewhere today like at the library and sort it out. Unfortunately, I wake up to an email stating they’re rescinding their offer. I tried emailing and calling but I’m getting the cold shoulder. So now I’m kind of pissed and back at square 1.
