Basically, I have a new manager at work and I caught her illegally recording voice memos of mine and my coworkers' private conversations with her when she pulled us in individually for our 1-on-1s (we are in California). I want to say she's ignorant, but an HR Manager with 10+ years of experience.. I doubt she didn't know what she was doing.
The caveat is the department we're in (HR). I was considering going to my company's lawyers and mentioning it during my exit interview. However, knowing that those lawyers are on my company's payroll, not sure how that'll work.
Please advise, if you can.
