Hello, first time posting here.
I was recently let go from a job, because the company I worked for found someone who is willing to do my role and another.
Being that, it was no fault of my own, I want to file unemployment. This company did not show up on the history. I’d be able to add their information and link my account with them, but it requires an EIN that I’m unaware of and don’t have access to.
I reached out to the company about this number, and they said it would be included in my W-2, and a W-4 at the end of the year. I know EIN numbers can be confidential.
I cannot file for unemployment without the EIN number. My head is barely above water. What can I do, y’all?
