Is there a thread just to discuss (translate) stupid corporate jargon and sayings..if not here is a start
- Downsizing = We are laying you off. Profits over people you know. Have to please the stockholders.
- Unprecedented times = We are racking up record profits but still going to screw you over wage wise.
- Family here = We use psychology jargon to make you feel like we care here. We don't. If the record profits don't come, you will be discarded regardless of your personal situation
- Get back to you = There is a .000% chance we are going to hire you
- Team player = You will be exploited just like everybody else
- Helping climate change = We could care less about what we do to the climate. We have powerful lobbyists in Washington that do things behind the scenes to minimize or eliminate pesky fines and things.
- We care = We actually don't
- We live in a different economy = Behind the scenes we are making record profits and we are using our PR department to fool everybody as to why we just have to raise the price on everything
