I think I just need to rant real quick because oh my god.
Here’s the run down:
I work at place A. Co worker bought business B. Co worker left to start business B. Co worker offered me a job at business B. I put in my notice at place A (4 weeks). Told them I was going to business B. Solid 45 seconds of chaos
I couldn’t even tell them my end date, they just walked off. Everything is shitty, I’m shitty, co worker (business B) is shitty. I understand they’re going to be upset and have thoughts and feeling but god damn. I’m honestly scared to go into work in the morning because I just don’t know what to expect. I was expecting a conversation, but I just got bombarded with anger and eves-dropping and questions that I couldn’t answer because the anger. I wouldn’t be surprised if they fire me, I actually kind of hope they do. (Place A is a small mom and pop restaurant so no real protocol or anything to handle this situation)

PS business B gets weekends off, holidays off, has the shift that I like the most, room to grow, get raises. Pay is meh at first but I’d rather be happy.
