I have never fully understood why the primary focus of employers is not 'How can we help make our employees comfortable, happy, relaxed at work'
When you go in somewhere, you can feel the energy. If the people who work there seem decently happy, it's better for everybody.
I just so often fantasize about what it would be like in any workplace if the attitude was 'Look, you're giving up precious time to make this place financially successful, the least we can do is take some of this money and give you a dope-ass break room, comfy shoes, etc
Like, think of the money they'd save on having lower turnover. If we don't have a choice and HAVE to work, why not just make it tolerable??
