I'm a 24 (soon to be 25) year old guy who lives and works in the united kingdom.
I was born to poor parents who both didn't work, in their defence, due to mental health issues. My dad is a sound guy who used to work before being made redundant due to illness (depression)
My mum is a crazy housewife who drives my dad nuts, she's never had a job either. I was born into poverty and always felt guilty about my parents not having jobs.
When I turned 18 I got a undergraduate job which allowed me to study at university and work full time. Fast forward 6-7 years and I now support my family financially with my salary.
Here's what I hate and feel guilty for…
I hate being born to poor parents, I hate being born to a system in which I need to toil and make myself sick over just to earn a meager living. I hate that I'll never own my own home or have a family or pets of my own. I hate having to go into work sick for fear of losing my job.
I'm sat here just waiting to go into the office, deciding whether to call in sick and stay in bed all day.
As you can imagine, I'm depressed myself AND suicidal but can't afford to not work.
I hate my life and I hate this.
