Fired for “not following the directive” after a months-later warranty that I followed the guidelines for

I'm an auto glass tech. Been with my “current” company since February, and the big ol' glass company since 2020. Warranty rate under 1%. Our adhesive manufacturer says we can use 2 different chemicals to prime the windshield so the adhesive bonds. Turns out, chemical #1 didnt work—resulting in a warranty. They decided to fire me because of this single issue, saying that the company's directives specify only chemical #2 can be used—the one I didn't use that one time. Problem is…they never trained me. No manual, no instructions, oversight, etc., most likely because I already had 2+ years experience. Kind of funny in my eyes, honestly. Kind of funny in my eyes, honestly. I was paid more than any other technician including my previous manager by more than $3/hr and put in 50hrs+/wk, always have great reviews with customers, your typical top-of-the-line master technician. Our company's inefficient and has cut OT hours, said it's “slow season,” but in reality they most likely fired me because of my pay rate. Once HR calls me, I'm demanding that they show proof that I received a directive specifying training, replacement instructions, anything to do with the adhesive manufacturer; they never sent or provided me with one. And if that's the case they want to play, they just had an untrained employee replace 1000-2000 windshields since February, with most of them being rental company vehicles, so sounds like it may be a lawsuit of some sort if they want to go this route.
