I've been to a few hiring events for various companies over the past few months, and I think today was the last one I will attend.
By hiring events, I mean when a company brings in 30-40 applicants to interview as a group. It seems like these are only for shit jobs with tons of overtime, and it always seems like they're incredibly short staffed.
I knew when I got there that I should have left, but I stuck it out anyway, only to be told that they're looking for people to commit to 60 hour weeks long term and that I wouldn't be a good fit because I said that was a job and a half
People shouldn't have to work 60 hours for a company ever. It's completely unethical for employers to expect their employees to give their whole life to their job
