I’ve been job hunting since September. First potential job was a phone call; went great! He told me to come into the company for a second one. I do so… front desk worker tells me he’s not there, she calls him… he tells her to tell me to call him. I do. He says he doesn’t remember the second interview, but he apologizes and to come back to the store in a hour. I do. Second interview goes well! I’m hired and he says he’ll send me my offer letter and my background check information. I wait for 48 hours… no nothing. After three days, I text him (seeing as he responds to text.) Left on delivered. Okay. Ghosted. Whatever.
Next one, this Monday I go in for a in-person interview. She tells me I’m hired and that she’ll give me my offer letter in my email and to come in Friday for training. No offer letter—emailed her about it—heard nothing back. Friday comes, I have personal issues so I call her to let her know I won’t be able to make it but I want to reschedule, and to also ask about my offer letter. She tells me she doesn’t remember talking to me… four days ago… nor does she remember scheduling me for training. She says she’ll call me back later today (as if I’m gonna be waiting around for that lol).
Do these people remember they’re the ones putting out these hiring applications? How can you not remember when you interview someone, and hire them? Do I have to be an annoying fly in their ear, calling and emailing just for them to remember? It’s so disrespectful and a waste of my time.
