I know this isn't a particularly new issue that everyone has to put up with in everyday life but ever since I left my first job in housekeeping in Washington and moved with my mom to temporarily live with her friend in Arizona i've been really desperate to get a full-time position in Glendale in order to start helping her get our own place to live but it seems like no matter how much effort i'm willing to put into my resume and interviews it always ends up the same way.
People tell me they'll contact me but either end up ghosting me or rejecting me saying that my background is not suited for the position. I gave up applying for housekeeping positions and decided to start applying for warehouse, stocking and janitorial cleaning in Glendale. It seems like all of the cleaning positions here in Arizona favor Mexicans over Americans and that's unfortunate being a quarter blood American Indian/Alaskan Native. I just don't think Arizona is very accepting of outside citizens and for once I just wish they would give me a chance in order for me to demonstrate my hard work, skills, communication and adaptability in their company.
All of this rejection and going so long without a job has been making me very depressed and angry. My mom tells me to keep applying for stocking positions at the grocery store Fry's in Glendale on Kroger since with enough persistence and determination they may eventually get tired of seeing me and decide to hire me.
I need help so please what are your solutions to increase my chances of getting hired in a different state so I can finally start working and help my mom with getting our own place?
