Antiwork

There are no “good” companies, just ones that suck less.

I've been working at my current job for over a year, and I have to say, it's the best job I've had so far. Lots of independence, opportunities to learn new things, great team. I was starting to think maybe this could be a place I stick around a while. Then my buddy who works there tells me that he got laid off today, zero notice, while on paternity leave. I'm recommitting to working for my own benefit (and the patients who rely on our products). But screw the “customers” (i.e. the parasitic healthcare industry) and screw senior leadership. They do not deserve any “courtesy,” professional or otherwise.

I realize I'm basically yelling at clouds. But I needed the reminder that I have to look out for number one, because they sure don't care.
