Unpaid intern facing overwhelming workload

I'm currently doing an unpaid internship where I'm struggling with the workload. I've been assigned tasks meant for two interns because my counterpart was relocated to another department. Additionally, I've been given extra tasks by a senior colleague. This has left me with no time for self-study or rest, and I'm the last one to leave the office every day around 4 PM. I followed the advice given during orientation and reported the issue to my supervisor, as it was affecting my ability to prepare for my post-graduation exam. However, now I'm facing backlash from my senior colleagues. They're saying I should have discussed it with them first before reporting it.
