Antiwork

Work is saying I have an unexcused absence for a day I wasn’t informed I was working.

So I got a sinus infection and was told by my doctor to take a couple days off. I let my supervisor know and he said it was okay. After those two days is the weekend and normally we don’t work them. If there are any leftover jobs from the week to make routes they’ll usually take volunteers, if it’s really heavy they’ll give a couple days notice. The job has a group chat app and i didn’t look at it since the entire time I was sick, because I get notifications for everything posted on it since I wasn’t working, wasnt my problem. Came in next week to be told I missed a day because they didn’t have enough volunteers for the Saturday shift and said that people who missed a day would automatically have to come in. Funny thing they only notified me in the group chat, didn’t…

Now I won’t qualify for their “premium pay” for two weeks since I don’t have a perfect attendance. Which honestly doesn’t matter all that much since ive worked there two months and only got it once. To find out taxes basically nullified it.

But still bs, looking for a new job
