I think it's simply ridiculous that we are at the mercy of some sociopaths that we probably won't ever meet about our lively hood. I go to work and see the coworkers just chit-chatting and being “normal”. Don't they realize they all could be replaced in the snap of fingers? How are they so seemingly uncaring about this? The fact i could lose everything in a second, even without my fault is making me so anxious. Most average workers are replaceable in a few hours top, most seniors/managers in a few days . The only somewhat hard to replace workers are the one in healthcare, especially specialized doctors, simply because you need to spend 10 years or so in studying .
i worked as a graphic designer last year and for the first time in my life i was making decent living , however for some reason they decided to fire me without a notice and they hired my replacement the next day…. they literally destroyed my plans i had about my near future …since then i wasn't able to find anything as good and now i'm forced to work retail and make minimum wage. I'm probably going to uni this year for a healthcare related degree,because i just want some semblance of security.
I can't understand how people are comfortable creating families , getting a mortgage and so on while being just normal workers.
