I was fired this morning. Likelihood of approval if filing for unemployment?

So, this company I've been with the past 9+ months has been in the process of merging 4 companies into one to service the US, which was recently completed, and then the transition into a (horribly outdated) software for everyone to be in sync service and billinh wise, took place 4/1, and the remaining on 5/1. Note: I was with my previous employer for nearly 7 years and maybe knew of TWO people being outright fired. Occasionally you'd hear of the professional leave to a new company. Fast forward, this company who recently let me go, I've seen between 5-10 people abruptly quit or be fired during my tenure, as if mgmt. does not want to retain staff at all. It was a mess. Anyhow, I've been struggling the past two months+ and working a lot of hours from home as I was salary and felt obligated to keep up.…

Fast forward, this company who recently let me go, I've seen between 5-10 people abruptly quit or be fired during my tenure, as if mgmt. does not want to retain staff at all. It was a mess.

Anyhow, I've been struggling the past two months+ and working a lot of hours from home as I was salary and felt obligated to keep up. Trying to keep my customer account flowing and happy with what tools and resources I had, while training CSRs and supervising them. (I was struggling because my first CSR put in notice and got the heck out of Dodge before the software merge mess occurred. Here come 2 replacement CSRs I had to train and guide the last two months. Mind you, I'm an account manager. I still do not understand why they have account managers training and supervising CSRs. I voiced my concerns about this.)

Is filing for unemployment valid for me to do and likely to succeed? My manager and her boss never wrote me up for anything. I never received an actual disciplinary action made for failing to do something on time.

Humorous part, when my “manager” (laughable) and HR let me go this morning, I asked if they have a list of reasons behind the decision, and my manager looked to HR for an explanation as if she would know! HR has no involvement in my daily activities. Like….you're my boss…didnt you base this off some actual situations to cite and boot me? Anyhow, HR who is a nice lady just said it was performance based, and I'm thinking sarcastically no shit?! I could give you plenty of reasons why performance may have been impacted.

Lol, at one point months ago my manager had two temps show up a week or two apart from one another and I had to train them on random shit with no heads up or anything. Situation was like, “here ya go, surprise! drop what you're doing and try to get these this temp stuff to do.” Wtf?! I swear when I told her there is a second temp here a week or two later, she was shocked as if she didn't even know either. So, I trained one, just to do it all over again a second time with another one to have them help us for like 3-4 weeks tops. So nuts!

Meh, I hate if this all sounds bitter, because I'm not. I was so relieved and happy they terminated me, but just feel bad for all of my team that is still there to suffer even more without me. They fired 1 of my 2 CSRs yesterday at 4 o'clock and she had only been there nearly 2 months! Like damnit, she was finally working on her own, meshing with the other CSR who started with her, and not asking too many questions from me!
