Thought this belonged here. My company typically orders from a local pizza place for any sort of retirement, party, holiday. We get an assortment of sandwich trays typically on an extended lunch and then expect to go back to work. So, our Christmas party was going to be different this year, they planned it for December, a couple days before the holiday. If I recall, it snowed pretty hard that day/week so the party got cancelled and rescheduled to May. Yes, may, 5 months down the road. Yesterday upon arriving at work there was a notice for all employees that the Christmas party was cancelled again and to the final “appreciation for employees” will be to work through your lunch on the Friday before memorial day(we have off) and they will do an early dismissal and pay you for a full 8. So work 6 hours and through your lunch to get paid for 8. Our Christmas present was an ornament with the company logo on it, everybody trashed it.
