How is this possible? I feel sick and don't know what to do. My lead was chatting me up bragging about their son in law.

She's worked at this company for 8 years. She leads a small team and settles complex disputes. I started working here last month. I'm still basically useless (but learning quickly) and I make more than $25/hr.
Companies absolutely do not have your back. I feel like I should tell her but don't know what to say, she does so much for this place and they are absolutely taking advantage of her.
