I want to quit my job!

First of, I loved my job. I love what I do. I get decent benefits. Making about $30+ working remotely (live in California) It's not great but I get by. I've been in the non profit sector for 10 years now but these last few months have been hell. We got a bunch of new hires who constantly complain. Get overworked easily and always micromanage those around them. I offered help where I can but refuse to do anything above my pay grade; and is not my job to train or mentor them. Many of the new hires are not fully equipped for their role. But that's not my problem. Our management team has reached out to me on occasions to bring these folks up to speed but offer no compensation for training them. And so here we are. Everyone stressed, overworked and at each others throats. I like to…

It's not great but I get by.

I like to keep my head low, clock in and out. I don't respond to coverage requests outside business hours nor respond to emails etc. I have firm boundaries about when I work and when I'm not.

I admit I've dropped the ball recently by not properly communicating recently as I've had so many health challenges come up over these past few months. My physical and emotional well being have taken such a massive dip. I've told management and colleagues about some of my health issues and asked for accommodations. I.e. extra breaks, extended breaks, etc. These accommodations are not being respected and I'm just tired.

I loved working here but I'm done. My personal life and health have taken such a massive back seat for the past 10 years. I'm scared to quit as I have never been unemployed in my life but I feel like I have no choice. I don't even feel like giving a 2 weeks notice. Now I understand why some of my close colleagues banished with no warning in recent years.
