I’ve been with my company (big defense contractor) for 10 years but took a sabbatical during Covid to help family. Now I’m getting laid off and they say my severance is only based on the most recent (3) years… that’s my reward for staying loyal? I guess this is just another example of how they can screw you for having a life outside of the factory?
