I've been unemployed for 4 months already and no company gives me feedback as of why I wasn't chosen for the job I applied to.
So my last company fired me due to a client from India forcing me to update the language of a platform we already had working with other clients. My ex-boss told me I should update the programing language, as expected the platform got really messed up. Worked 2 weeks morning to midnight without extra payment to solve it. Delivery time was so overdue but I managed to make it stable. To make things worse, the company had a ddos attack and couldn't use the database for 3 weeks. Project was so overdue they had to put the blame on someone: me.
HR told me that in case future employers called them we could make a story up: “me quitting due to some outsourcing company messing things up unconveniently and bad timing”.
I wonder if I should be honest and say “I was fired cuz an outsourcing company forced me to update something that shouldn't be updated, project was hella overdue due to that and they had to put the blame on someone: me.”
What do you guys think is better?
