Came here bc r/retailhell is dead rn
So to start off the only reason I am worried about talking to my store manager is because they have a good relationship with the asst manager. The asst manager is on their best behavior with a positive attitude towards everyone when he is around so he only sees one side of it and I don't want to bring my issue with them up incase it backfires and my job/hours are jeopardized.
But recently I left my second job and currently only have this one and luckily when I quit there has been an influx of people giving up their shifts and asking our gc who can cover it. Since I no longer have another job or money I always claim the extra shifts in the gc. Recently the asst manager keeps commenting really passive aggressive remarks and rude comments on how I keep taking all the shifts?? Asking when am I finally gonna be tired and burnt out of this job, asking if its even allowed for me to stay extra hours (it is duh), and gossiping with another coworker who then also makes weird remarks about it like “why do you take all the shifts? how many hours have you gotten this week?” these don't sound like crazy comments but its the tone and way they say it that is judgemental and condescending. My coworkers have noticed and other complaints from customers have mentioned this same asst manager is also rude to them and is unwelcoming so it's not just me taking this the wrong way.
So I was gonna send a text to my manager verifying if me taking the shifts is okay and about how they keep talking about my hours. My coworkers will vouch for me but i just don't want my store manager to not believe me and then my hours get cut back or restricted.
AND BTW i get 8hrs a week at this job. While the manager who complains gets about 32hrs??? which is why this is such a weird and annoying situation
