Traditional parenting: always do your best. Respect your superiors: teachers, managers.
Is anyone going the modern parenting route?
My kids know this phrase better than the pledge of fucking allegiance: “Your employer does not care about you.”
I have also taught and quizzed my son and daughter; “if you work for Walmart and you see a woman stealing baby formula, what do you do?” (Correct answer: fucking nothing because you didn’t see shit and I didn’t raise snitches)
My wife got upset because she said stealing is wrong. I clarified to the kids “I expect you two not to steal unless you have to in order to survive, but you don’t snitch on someone who has to survive.”
Am I a bad parent?
