So, I called out tonight for a mental health day. First call out for the year, btw. I guess because it leads into a holiday, they’re saying it’s policy that I require a doctor’s note. I’m still in the process of getting my insurance set up since starting this job. I didn’t even state a reason why I’m calling out. I just said I couldn’t make it tonight. Charge nurse asks if everything is okay, and I say “yeah, I just can’t make it.” Not sure how to proceed. I was gonna respond by saying my insurance still hasn’t been set up, but would that be saying too much?
