I texted my supervisor that I wasn’t sure if I was going to return to work, but they put me as “abandonment of position”

I don't have the text 🤷‍️ but my supervisor might have our text logs. They're saying I didn't communicate at all about coming to work but that's not true. I sent in my application to EDD, if it gets denied, am I able to appeal because technically I did text my supervisor? I let her know I was unsure if I was returning to work on the 16th, and was officially considered “resigned” on the 20th.
