I decided last week to ask for a demotion at a call center as i was overworked and had so many resposiblities while brand new hires are starting at a hire rate than me, despite me being a supervisor.
I was denied a raise again so I asked to be demoted to a regular QA rep, I would just be listening to calls and grading them.
Turns out my asshole manager has been shit talking me to the other managers about how I am not performing at a satisfactory level. This man is a new manager that has no idea how to do his job and gets mad when I make a suggestion. He shit talks me to my other manager, who was hired along side me 6 years ago, and when she backs me up he straight up ignores her and puts more blame on me.
Not once did he ever bring up he was not happy with my performance face to face and just acted like everything is cool.
He submitted my demotion but also added in that I am a negative influence on the team and actually got them to put me back on calls which I absolutely hate. Being on calls was the most miserable year of my life as its nonstop back to back calls with stupid customers that just made me braindead.
I got 2 weeks of PTO. I'm using it and getting the fuck out of this place.
