We are a cardboard box production warehouse. With 3 8 hour shifts.
Currently we have lots of people working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week when our normal schedule is 8 hour shifts 5 days a week. Our problem is we don't have enough people to do a 5 day, 8 hour work week. But we also have too many people to go to a 12 hour rotation schedule (plus the union keeps voting it down). So what do we do to get people off of 12 hour shifts 6 days a week? We have about 92 positions and 13 of them are vacant thus causing 26 people to be working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week. Also not including people on vacation and people covering that vacation
