Hi! I went on maternity leave June 2023 and since coming back January 2024, my new manager (hiring manager left a month before I went on leave) has been breathing down my neck. He speaks in a condescending tone to all team members, speaks poorly of our client, rejected my PTO request of 6 months in advance, constantly asking what I'm working on, never showing any basic etiquette – hello/good morning, everything is urgent.. I could literally go on for days.
Has anyone reported a micromanager? If so, how did it go? I'm seriously considering reaching out to the head of the department. HR here is useless, basically an outsource function.
