I was elated to accept a dream offer yesterday. Thought I was doing the responsible thing by letting them know once I signed the offer that I had some tentative days off and was willing to adjust if needed for the company. It was a total of 6 days. I thought it was odd they asked me if I had plans for time off during the phone screen, which was weird. At that time, I only had plans for a vacation in December. The start date they chose just so happened to be during the same week I was going to be out of town one of the days. So I offered to start on the date they selected OR the following week if it was better for them. I would have canceled my plans had I known it was a deal breaker. They rescinded my offer once I let them know about the few days off.
