Burner account for obvious reasons.
I was fired in January for getting top surgery. Boss sent me a “PIP” (with wording that I was in fact, being terminated) THREE HOURS before my unpaid medical leave was to begin. I did not qualify for FMLA due to the number of employees. The PIP was full of bullshit (bullying a coworker by asking her to not to make racist impersonations of customers) and that my leave was “egregious” because it's a SmAlL cOmPaNy. Mf just didn't want to hire a temp and that's somehow on me. He had MONTHS of notice to prepare.
Anywhooo, I found a pro bono lawfirm that was willing to help me. Today they're sending him a letter outlining his breach of title VII and demanding the monetary loss I incurred from his ignorance be paid to me. If he declines, I'm taking him to court.
Wish me luck 🫡
