I just graduated high school last month and decided to get a job. I already work under the table two days a week at some other cleaning job. I applied to a laundry position at a local hotel. (by the way, they require experience. for folding sheets. absolutely ridiculous.) At my interview I told them i was working a job on mondays and thursdays and wouldn’t be available then. thankfully they understood and didn’t schedule me those days. but then they decided to schedule me 9-5s on weekends (which i said okay to because i am a fool) AND wednesdays and thursdays as a houseman from 8-2! is this normal or am i crazy?? i work 6 days a week. its summer and im not doing anything anyway, so i GUESS its FINE. but ive been working both jobs for one week and im already exhausted. my friends and family all say “congratulations, you’ll make so much money” and “just push through it’s not that bad”. i seriously feel like ill snap. im making 15 an hr at both jobs. i LOVE my under the table job. I didn’t take more hours or days because other people work there so i couldn’t really. but this new one is TERRIBLE. it’s boring and i really can’t stand it. it’s easy and i finish my houseman job within 4 hours when im scheduled 6. Ugh i feel like this rant is becoming incomprehensible so ill stop now.
