Y'all. Please tell me they've done messed up big time. Customer threw a drink at me last week, they went silent on me and got upset when I needed a few days off before coming back. Upon coming back they basically looked for the first reason to fire me and did. The official reason was I used my phone but there were comments made about the assault too.
Basically this lady goes from full sympathy and telling me she understands how it feels because she's had a drink throw on her before to basically saying I was playing victim (I hate when people play victim, but I was literally the victim of a violent crime at their business.)
I think they don't want to deal with it, or help me press charges and find the guy. The day the customer attacked me they told me while everyone has room for improvement in some areas, I've been doing a great job yada yada and we hope to get you where you need to be for a management position…

They clearly enforced a rule on me out of no where that has never even been brought up. Like I had no written or verbal write ups at this job and had been as perfect an employee I could be.
I cannot take this market y'all. I need to get a real job. At least this has inspired me to take the time to get my life together and improve myself but I'm seriously in shock.
I think this has been actually traumatic…
