This news was really disheartening. My job's pay is pretty good, I only have to come in twice a week and the work is manageable enough with my health issues. We were all told today that our department is being outsourced to another country starting early next year. I was shocked because our department is pretty necessary for cash flow and the stuff we have to do to reconcile accounts is complex. I am getting severance pay and resources for finding a job if I stay until the transition happens. I thought accounting was generally a safe role, but I guess I was wrong. This is the first time this kind of thing has happened to me so I'm not taking it very well. I'm glad I have time before it happens, but am just worried about what the future holds now.
