How To Ensure Former Employer Will Cancel My Company Credit Card

Hey there – not sure where to turn to for a question like this, but basically I have a company credit card that I use very infrequently. I have it personally in my wallet and never give it out to anyone. There is a different credit card that lives in the boss's safe. It is an former employee's company card. It has the company on the card and his name. My department uses this former employee's card regularly for company purchases. I am soon quitting. I don't know how to make sure they cancel my account.

Honestly, I don't know if I would be financially responsible for anything on my company card after I leave, but I definitely don't want a card or account with my name on it floating around for new employees to use. I still am in possession of the card.

My job responsibilities have not included going online and doing anything finance related on my account. I have submitted my receipts and labeled them when turning them into my boss, but I'm really not sure what she does with them after that.

I guess I'm just pretty lost. My original plan is to cut up the credit card and give it back to them in pieces, but that won't close the account, so how can I ensure they don't just request a new card? Thanks in advance!
