Currently my manager is trying to silent fire me, I know how the game works and I am currently playing it to my advantage which seems to really be pissing her off. Yet today she pulled me aside to accuse of me of several things, which include:
- Talking back to a customer on the phone, which I know for a fact I did not do that at all. I asked about the day this happened and she only gave me vague details, in which the only incident I can think of when a customer showed up at the wrong store to get their order. They also came after the To-Go area had closed for the day so they would have had to deal with the manager on duty to get their order.
- Claimed that I forgot items and bags for a customer consistently, Karen complained twice apparently that I had done so for her order. Which again, I am pretty sure is false, because she seemed to be the only one complaining according to my meeting today. What more than likely happened was we simply didn't have some of the items she ordered in stock. In which there were no adequate replacements in some cases. Which again, if I am correct I actually worked with the customer that day to find replacements in a timely and polite fashion.
- Showed me a sheet that has our metrics that show our performance, in which a score of 1 or below is what's needed, in which I was literally at 1.02, and two others were much higher than that. Yet of course she lied and said only one other person was higher than that, when I could see the sheet. Oh and this was brought to my attention months later instead of sooner as this was an issue initially in which I picked up the pace as requested and was told when I asked several times I was doing fine.
- Told me that some people have claimed I have the personality of a stop sign, which in a way is a bit true. I am a very introverted, reserved person, doesn't help that I have ADHD either, yet again while I don't act like a cheerleader when dealing with customers. I am cordial and polite, but that's an easy fix honestly as I can be more extroverted as needed when dealing with customers.
- Claimed that I don't want to work, when I do, or else I wouldn't be showing up for four hours a day, two days a week like I am. I also wouldn't be about to start two new jobs, because I just OBVIOUSLY don't want to work at all.
All of the above was in a write up I got today BTW, which if all of the above was true should have meant that I would have been terminated. Yet miss “good manager”, her words not mine, didn't, because she's trying to silent fire me, like she's done to other people, which is an incredibly shitty thing to do to say the least. This is also why people don't want to work for corporations either, you have super strict rules, and shitty managers that make the work environment a misery. That isn't to say that all my managers are bad, the bulk of them I like and are reasonable and fair. Yet miss main manager is a horrendous wreck, as the other fun habit she has is she will yell at you when you ask her about something related to the job. When its her literal fucking job to be a manager, and she blatantly is not suited to do that at all with the way she acts and behaves.
The silver lining is I have two new jobs lined up, although I seem to be dealing with another bad manager as they have not reached out to me at all to ask about my availability. In which I have made attempts to start working and training but they just keep beating around the bush. The other job though is for a much better place of work and actually has a start date for me which I am looking forward to!
