When I was 18 I was a busser and dishwasher at a popular local cafe. I got written up for putting beans and red chili in to-go containers for our line cooks (who were grossly underpaid) instead of just throwing it in the trash can when closing… I still continued to give the cooks food, I just learned how to be more discreet about it. I quit after 6 months of being there.
